South Sumatra is the largest coffee producer in Indonesia. According to Ministry of Agriculture data, coffee production in this province reaches 184,168 tons and all of them are Robusta. The production is around a quarter of the national coffee production which reached 722,461 tons consisting of 528 thousand tons of Robusta and 195 thousand tons of Arabica
